  • Worked as a waterside worker for fifteen years including as a listman, marksman, watchman, winchman and foreman stevedore.
  • He was possibly the Frank Stanley Wallace Taylor, who claimed he was born in Ireland on 24 October 1893 and arrived in NSW in 1912 aboard the Port Pirie, who was sentenced at Sydney Quarter Sessions on 21 January 1914 to ten years in prison on fifteen charges of burglary. He was released from Goulburn Gaol on 13 March 1920.
  • In 1922 Taylor was arrested and charged with armed robbery but acquitted. In August the following year he was arrested and accused of aiding and abetting murder, but the charge was withdrawn in October.
  • In July 1927 the same Frank Taylor, who claimed in court to have worked as secretary for W. H. Lambert, was sentenced at Darlinghurst, Sydney, to three years penal servitude on five charges of having feloniously received stolen property. He was released on license on 20 January 1930. Rearrested in June that year he was sentenced to six months hard labour for being in a closed yard for unlawful purposes.

  • The death of Frank Stansby Tayler, union secretary and widower, was registered by his son Alexander Francis Tayler (1914-1981). Cause of death: cerebral thrombosis (months), arteriosclerosis (years), gangrene right leg and foot (days).
