Birth: 1901 at Byker, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Northumberland, England, son of George Scott (1852-1931), “scavinger” and municipal overseer, and Susanna Lisle (Anna), née Morton (1857-c.1956?). Marriage: 1921 at Newcastle-upon-Tyne, to Theresa Henderson Milburn (1902-1987). They had three daughters. Death: 9 July 1952 in his usual residence at Spring Road, Caulfield, Victoria.
