Birth: 1915 at Melbourne, Victoria, son of James Brough Scott (1886-1979), a painter and decorator, born at Perth, Scotland, and Bertha Mary, née Tall (1890-1969). Marriage: 11 October 1940 at the office of the Government Statist, Melbourne, to Doris (Dorothy) Gordon (1916-?), photographer, born at Newcastle on Tyne, Northumberland, England. They had one daughter. Death: 8 November 1979 in his home at Kerr Street, Blackburn, Victoria.
