Birth: 19 May 1914 at Cockatoo Valley, South Australia, son of native-born parents of English ancestry, John Bool Moore (1877-1962), labourer, and his first wife Edith, née Perry (1878-1932). Marriage: 10 December 1932 at Broken Hill, New South Wales, to native-born Ruby Beatrice White (1913-1980). They had three sons. Death: 28 September 1981 in his usual residence at Lane Street, Broken Hill, NSW. Religion: Catholic.
