Birth: 1 September 1878 at Richmond, Victoria, son of English-born parents John Augustus Flannagan (1837-1882), an architect from Manchester, Lancashire, and Louisa, née Woolcott (1841-1909) from Exeter, Devonshire. Marriage: 10 October 1901 at Trinity Anglican Church, Launceston, Tasmania, to native-born Emily Mary (Emmie) Mullay (1876-1943). Death: 7 November 1951 at his home, in Billson Avenue, East Brighton, Victoria.
