Patrick Francis (Bunny) Dwyer (1902-1993) miner and trade union official 

Birth: 25 March 1902 at East Maitland, New South Wales, son of native-born parents Edward Francis Dwyer (1868-1940), labourer,  and Bridget Agnes, née Roughan (1871-1956). Marriage: 1926 at Broken Hill, NSW, to Jean Audrey MacIntosh (1910-1967), born at Broken Hill. They had one daughter and three sons. Death: 30 January 1993 at Broken Hill. 

  • Family moved to Broken Hill when he was 3 months old.
  • Worked as a miner from 1913-1964 (retired), starting at the Big Mine (Broken Hill Pty Co Ltd). Worked in all Broken Hill mines at the time, except NBHC which included Junction, Junction North, South, Central, North.
  • Member of the management committee of Workers' Industrial Union of Australia.
