Birth: 1889 at Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, son of John Collins (1846-1913), labourer, born in Bedfordshire, England, and native-born Lucy Emily, née Galvin (1853-1900). Marriage: 1915 at Wagga Wagga to Myra Isabel McGregor (1898-1973), who was born in Wagga Wagga. They had five sons and four daughters. Death: 27 January 1956 at Wagga Wagga. Religion: Anglican.
