Phyllis Jean Benjamin, née Allsopp (1907-1996) parliamentarian
Birth: 30 August 1907 at Mosman, New South Wales, daughter of native-born parents Frederick George Allsopp, miller, and Ethel May, née Barnes. Marriage: 10 March 1936, Sydney, to Albert Hansen Benjamin (1900-1965), an electrical engineer, born at Ashfield, Sydney. They had three daughters and one son. Death: 6 April 1996 at Hobart, Tasmania.
