Birth: 27 December 1901 at Woodend, Victoria, daughter of William Oswald Griffiths (1877-1956), a Melbourne-born builder, and Elizabeth, née Dick (1879-1965), who was born in New Zealand. Marriage: 12 Marcy 1940 to native-born David Reaburn Barber (1907-1971), a law clerk. They had one daughter and two sons. Death: 29 December 1985 at Colac.
