Cultural Advice

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website contains names, images, and voices of deceased persons.

In addition, some articles contain terms or views that were acceptable within mainstream Australian culture in the period in which they were written, but may no longer be considered appropriate.

These articles do not necessarily reflect the views of The Australian National University.

Older articles are being reviewed with a view to bringing them into line with contemporary values but the original text will remain available for historical context.

Show Help

Click the Draw Graph button to generate the graph. By default the graph shows the students, their partners, other non-family relationships and related entities such as organisations. After drawing the graph, click on the coloured circles at the top of the graph to hide or show students, partners, etc.

Click on any of the lines connecting two circles to show the type of relationship. Click on an individual circle to highlight lines connecting it to other circle; clicking the circle again will turn the highlight off. Hold the left mouse button over a circle and move the mouse to move a circle. Hold left mouse button while moving the mouse to move the graph. Use the mouse wheel to zoom.
