Ann Wright arrived in Sydney in January 1788 aboard the Prince of Wales with her husband Henry Wright, a marine, as part of the First Fleet. Their young daughter Mary Ann also accompanied them. After Henry's life transportation to Norfolk Island for committing rape, Ann had a son with Charles Brixey, who was also a marine. Ann and her two children returned to England with Brixey on the Gorgon in December 1791.
