Pattilini Wilson

Born, Auckland, New Zealand. Grand-daughter of Rev. John Hobbs, one of New Zealand’s earliest settlers at the mission station of Russell, Bay of Islands, Auckland, who was instrumental in helping to bring about the great Treaty of Waitangi.

Educated at Mrs. May’s Girls’ School, Napier, New Zealand.

Adopted by her late uncle, John Close, of Napier, where she lived up to the time of his death.

Wife of James Wilson, Esq., Retired Deputy Chief Manager of the National Bank of Australasia, Melbourne.

CHARITIES. For several years was President of the Toorak Red Cross Auxiliary of the Melbourne Hospital. Member of the Committee of the City Newsboys’ Society for a number of years. Deputy President of the Victorian Division of the Truby King League. Member of Victoria League and Overseas League.

MAIN INTERESTS. Fond of Travelling. Tours include Egypt, Great Britain, the Continent and South Sea Islands.

HOBBIES. Gardening and Painting. Very fond of animals.
