STEWART PARNELL VAGG was born on 7th March, 1894, at Maxwell’s Braes, New South Wales, the son of Mr. John Gurt Vagg and Mrs. Sarah Jane Vagg. He was educated at Maxwell’s Braes and Hay, New South Wales, and entered the service of the Bank at Lockhart in July, 1911. He was transferred to Stockinbingal, as assistant, in March, 1914.
Stewart Parnell Vagg enlisted in the A.I.F. on 29th August, 1914, and left Australia as a private in B Company, 3rd Battalion. He was in the Landing at Gallipoli and received wounds from which he died on board S.S. “Delfinger” on 2nd May, 1915.
