William Crompton Sever (c.1761-1817) was captain — and part owner — of the Lady Penrhyn when he arrived at Sydney in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet. Sever had a relationship with Ann Green during the voyage; their daughter Laetitia, was baptised at Port Jackson on 9 November 1788, with his name recorded as 'Sivers'.
Sever died in January 1817.
