Mary Ann Rees (c. 1818–1865)

Mary Fitzpatrick (c.1818-1865) arrived in Sydney aboard the Lascar as an assisted immigrant 'under the protection of her brother Richard' in November 1841. Her occupation was given as farm servant; her health was described as very good and it was stated that she could neither read nor write. Her age was given as 23.

Fitzpatrick married William Rees at Sydney on 28 April 1845; they had three children. *Her death certificate notes that she had one male and one female child living and eight children deceased. Her husband's death certificate's states that from his marriage to her he had one son living, and none deceased.

Mary Rees died at Queanbeyan, New South Wales on 2 November 1865. Her occupation was given as laundress, age as 45 and cause of death as exhaustion from excessive disease of the joints.
