William Charles Pate (1881–1918)

PRIVATE WILLIAM CHARLES HECTOR PATE

From Charles Street, Elsternwick. Educated at South Melbourne State School, he was an accountant. Enlisted in June 1916. A signaller in the 38th Battalion, he died of wonds on September 1, 1918, and was buried at the Communal Extension at Daours. He was 36.
