David Ogden (1812-1825) was the sixth of the seven children of James Ogden and his wife Elizabeth née Kelsall. His mother died from childbirth complications in 1815. Following his father's death in 1820, David and two of his brothers Jeremiah and Samuel were placed in the Male Orphan School at Sydney. David died at the school from dysentery in June 1825.
