Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website contains names, images, and voices of deceased persons.

In addition, some articles contain terms or views that were acceptable within mainstream Australian culture in the period in which they were written, but may no longer be considered appropriate.

Francis Mee (?–?)

Francis Mee was a private in the 61st (Portsmouth) Company when he arrived at Sydney aboard the Scarborough in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet. He served in Captain James Campbell's Company at Port Jackson.

Mee was sent to Norfolk island on the Supply in March 1790. He was one of the leaders of a protest on 9 April 1791 by some marines about a cut in rations. He returned to Port Jackson on the Supply later that month. He presumably returned to England on the Atlantic in December 1792.
