
Born, Hamilton, Victoria — Grand-daughter of the late Rev. T. C. B. Stretch, Archdeacon of Melbourne, and the late Alexander Cameron, of “Penola” Station, South Australia. Daughter of Samuel Stretch, Esq., Melbourne, late of Ballarat, Victoria.
Wife of J. H. McGee, M. D. (Ireland and Melbourne), D. P. H. (Cambridge); during Great War served as a Captain to 10th Australian Hospital, A. I. F., seconded to R. A. M. C.; surgeon to No. 2 County of London Base Hospital; on his return to Australia served at No. 5 Base Hospital and surgeon to Anzac Hostel; son of the late John McGee, Merchant, of Flinders Lane, Melbourne. Family, two daughters: Ann Rosemary, Mary Prudence; both educated at Sacre Coeur Convent, Malvern.
ACTIVITIES. Matron of Sir Douglas Shield’s Harold Fink Hospital, 17 Park Lane, London, from its inception until 1920. During the war this became an Officer’s Hospital, run in conjunction with Londonderry and Dorchester House Serving under R. A. M. C.
INTERESTS. Actively interested in After Care Home. Late President, Treasurer, and Hon. Secretary to Brighton Branch of Alfred Hospital Auxiliary; Treasurer and Vice-president to Local Association of Girl Guides; Member of the Committee of Melbourne District Nursing Association.
