William Gerald (Bill) McCosker (1863–1955) compositor and trade union official
Birth: 12 August 1863 at Kentish Town Road, St Pancras, London, England, son of Nicholas Cosker [or McCosker] (1829-1908), cabinet maker, and Ann Bella, née Fallowfield (1840-1915). Marriages: (1) 21 September 1887 at St Stephen’s Catholic Cathedral, at Brisbane, Queensland, to Mary Crampton (1862-1888). (2) 31 July 1889 at Brisbane to Elizabeth Agnes Butler (1867-1949). They had five daughters and two sons. Death: 8 February 1955 in South Brisbane Auxiliary Hospital, Brisbane. Religion: buried with Anglican rites.
