Barney McAvenaugh (c. 1760–?)

Barney McAvenaugh (c.1760- ) was a marine in the 5th (Portsmouth) Company when he arrived at Sydney aboard the Scarborough in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet. He served in Captain James Meredith's Company at Port Jackson.

McAvenaugh was sent to Norfolk Island on the Sirius in March 1790. He returned to England on the Gorgon in December 1791, disembarking at Portsmouth in June 1792.
