Ivor Eric MacGillivray (1895-1915), an engineer, served for 12 months in the 76th Infantry, Citizen Military Forces, before enlisting in the Australian Imperial Force on 24 August 1914. He was promoted to sergeant and was wounded at the landing on Gallipoli on 26 April 1915, serving with the 10th Battalion. He died before reaching the hospital ship, Clan MacGilivray. He was buried at sea off Gaba Tepe, Turkey.
