
Ralph Jones was born on 4th June, 1896, a t Golden Square, Bendigo, Victoria, the son of Mr. Ralph Jones and Mrs. C. E. Jones. He was educated at the High School, Bendigo, and joined the Bank at Melbourne on 1st June, 1915.
Enlisting on 16th July, 1915, as a private in the 14th Battalion of the A.I.F., Ralph Jones served in Egypt and France, and was promoted to corporal. He was wounded in action at the Battle of Bullecourt, taken prisoner, and died on 12th April, 1917.
