John Jones (c.1761- ), an able seaman from Eltham, Kent, arrived at Sydney aboard the Sirius in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet. He was stranded at Norfolk Island after the Sirius was wrecked and left the crew at Port Jackson on 7 March 1791. He probably returned to England on one of the ships of the Third Fleet that arrived in August-October 1791.
