John Jenkins, a sailor, was sentenced to seven years transportation for stealing a parcel. He arrived in Sydney in 1833 aboard the Asia. He was described as being 5 feet 4 inches (162.6 cms) tall, with a sallow complexion, hazel eyes and brown hair.
