Thomas Gough, corporal of marines in the 26th (Portsmouth) Company, arrived at Sydney with his wife Johanna, and son Joseph, aboard the Prince of Wales in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet. He served with Captain John Shea's Company at Port Jackson. The family left the colony for England on the Gorgon in December 1791.
