Mary Edwards was found guilty on 19 March 1790 at Hereford, England, of stealing wearing apparel. Sentenced to 7 years transportation, she arrived in Sydney in 1791 aboard the Mary Ann as part of the Third Fleet. By 1792 she was living with James Freeman; they had two children. She was living with Abraham Martin by 1796.
