Daughter of the late John Murphy, Esq. (son of the late Peter Murphy, Esq. ), and Kate Murphy, of Armadale House, Armadale, Victoria.

Born, Hawthorn, Melbourne.

Wife of Reginald James Dunlea, Esq., well-known Importer and Leather Merchant; son of the late James Dunlea, of the firm Dunlea & Nicholson, Melbourne.

Family, daughters: Hilary Marie (now studying at the Melbourne University), Irene Frances (now attending Mandeville Hall, Toorak, where Hilary also received her earlier education). Both daughters are very fond of music, tennis, golf and are accomplished horsewomen. One son, John James (deceased), who lost his life under particularly sad circumstances at the age of 14.

CHARITIES. Past President of the Brighton Auxiliary of St. Vincent’s Hospital, and President of the Appeal for St. Benedict’s Intermediate Hospital, on which Mrs. Dunlea is concentrating the whole of her energies. Has always been a strong supporter of St. Joseph’s Home at Surrey Hills and Broadmeadows.

HOBBIES. Golf (member of Commonwealth Golf Club), Music and Gardening.
