Joseph Downey (?–?)

Joseph Downey, a seaman on the Lady Penrhyn, which landed in Sydney in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet, had a child, Joseph, with convict Sarah Bellamy. Joseph jnr was born shortly before the fleet landed and died in late February 1788.

It is not known what happened to Joseph Downey snr.
