Edward Dinger was a marine in the 59th (Portsmouth) Company when he arrived at Sydney, with his wife, aboard the Alexander in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet. He served in Captain James Campbell's Company at Port Jackson. He worked as a carpenter in the colony.
Dinger and his wife returned to England on the Gorgon in December 1791.
