
REGINALD CAMPBELL, son of Mr. Robert Campbell, of the Mercantile Bank, Sydney, and Mrs. Campbell, was born at that Bank’s premises on 11th July, 1884. He was educated at the Sydney High School.
Entering the service of the Bank of New South Wales on 29th September, 1903, he was employed in the Head Office until 31st July, 1906, when he was sent to Cowra, N.S.W. While there he was promoted to ledger-keeper on 1st July, 1907, and on 7th February, 1911, transferred to Brewarrina as assistant. Then on 7th November, 1912, he was appointed teller at Gulgong, and in the same capacity was transferred to Narrabri on 10th September, 1915.
Reginald Campbell enlisted as a private in the A.I.F, on 8th January, 1917, and was afterwards promoted to corporal in the 17th Battalion.
