Samuel Burridge (c.1726-1788) was found guilty on 3 August 1786 at Dorchester, Dorset, of breaking and entering a house and stealing two pieces of duroy valued at 3 shillings. Sentenced to 7 years transportation he was sent to the Dunkirk hulk and embarked for New South Wales on the Charlotte in March 1787, arriving in the colony in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet. He was buried at Sydney Cove on 20 October 1788.
