Thomas Beechey (1802–1869)

Thomas Beechy/Beachey was born on 10 January 1802 at Norfolk Island. His father was a private in the NSW Corps. The family departed the island by the Estramina on 8 Apr 1809. Thomas arrived at Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) in 1818/19. He married Jane Pickett on 14 July 1823. He died on 25 August 1869, his occupation was given as farmer, cause of death as chronic bronchitis and age as 68.
