
JOE ARUNDEL, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Arundel, of Warragul, was born in that town on 28th February, 1892. He was educated at the Scotch College, Melbourne, and entered the service of the Bank in Melbourne on 7th May, 1910. His subsequent transfers were:—To Kyneton, in June, 1911; St. Arnaud, in September, 1911; Mansfield, in September, 1912; Maldon, in August, 1914.
He enlisted on 14th July, 1915, and saw service in Egypt and France with his battery (The 2nd Medium Trench Mortars). He received promotion to the rank of corporal in December, 1917.
