Mary Anderson was sentenced to seven years transportation for stealing clothing. She arrived in Sydney in 1790 aboard the Lady Juliana as part of the Second Fleet. She cohabited with Lieutenant John Townson on Norfolk Island. They had a child Mary Townson in Sydney in 1791. Mary died in Tasmania in 1831.
