Daughter of Mrs. H. J. and the late Mr. H. J. Hobday.

Born and educated in Geelong. Wife of Mr. Walter C. Kernot, J. P., a past president of the Pharmaceutical Council of Victoria; member of the Council of Church of England Girls’ Grammar School, Geelong; past vice-president of Geelong Hospital.

Family, one son and two daughters, each of whom are actively engaged in various interests, viz.: Scouting, Toc H., Lord Somers’ Camp, Toe H. L. W. H., Girl Guides, etc.

INSTITUTIONS and CHARITIES. Vice-president of Executive and General Council of Victorian Baby Health Centres; President of Geelong Baby Health Centre Committee; Vice-president of Geelong District Nursing Society; Vice-president of Geelong Ladies’ Benevolent Society; Vice-president of Geelong Ladies’ Swimming Club; Member of Charities Board of Victoria; Member of Geelong and District Kitchener Memorial Hospital Committee; Past Vice-president of Victoria League of Victoria; late Member of Geelong City Mission and Geelong Refuge Committees.

MUSICAL. Studied the violin for many years under the late Mr. George Weston; Gold Medallist for best solo vocalist at Geelong Competitions, 1900. These accomplishments enabled her to give recitals and assist Red Cross Societies, churches, and all charities requiring financial assistance.

HOBBIES. Musical Composition and Gardening.

CLUBS. Geelong (Bell Park) and Barwon Heads Golf Clubs.
