Daniel Obadiah Weaver (1856–1927)

Daniel Obadiah Weaver (1856-1927) was a labourer when he married Luanna Jane Huxley on 2 August 1879 at St James Church, Pitt Town. He later bought 33 acres of land at Maroota, Pitt Town, and built a homestead there. He ran a successful orchard growing various foodstuffs including cauliflowers, cabbage and strawberries. He died at the Prince Alfred Hospital, Camperdown, on 23 October 1927 and was buried at the Church of England cemetery, Pitt Town, the next day.
