Esther James (1798–1840)

Esther Becket was born on 2 April 1798 at Sydney, the daughter of James Becket and Ann Calcut. She married John Hendle on 20 January 1812 at St John's Parramatta. Following his death in 1824 she lived with George Tuckwell. She married William James on 24 July 1832 at Parramatta after Tuckwell died in 1831. She died on 24 August 1840 and was buried at St John's Church of England Cemetery, Parramatta.
