ERIC HOLLOWAY, son of Mr. Charles W. and Mrs. Henrietta Holloway, was born at Manly, New South Wales, on 8th September, 1897. He was educated at the Manly Grammar School, and joined the service of the Bank on 11th August, 1914, at Manly. In September, 1915, he was transferred to Mosman, and enlisted on 14th February, 1916.
He saw service in Egypt and Palestine, was wounded in action and awarded the Military Medal for bravery in the field on 3rd November, 1917. He returned to Australia, and was discharged from the A.I.F. on 26th June, 1919.
