Eleanor McQuiggan arrived in Sydney in 1842 aboard the Wilson, with her father William and siblings, as an assisted immigrant. The children boosted their ages to gain government assistance. Her occupation was given as housemaid and dairy maid and her religion was Presbyterian. She could read and write.
