Daniel Dougherty (1787–?)

Daniel Dougherty, the son of Arthur and Judah Dougherty, was born on 10 July 1787 aboard the Prince of Wales and was baptised at Rio de Janeirio on 19 August. He arrived at New South Wales in January 1788, with his parents, as part of the First Fleet.

Daniel left the colony with his family on the Gorgon in December 1791 to return to England. His mother and one of his two younger sisters died during the voyage.
