HENRY THOMAS STEWART DABB was born at Maldon, Victoria, on 13th September, 1896, the son of Mr. Henry H. and Mrs. Lottie C. Dabb. He was educated at the State School, Maldon, and entered the Bank’s service at Kyneton on 19th November, 1913.

Henry Dabb enlisted on 29th September, 1916, and sailed from Australia in the following month, as a member of the 38th Battalion. He saw service in France until December, 1918, and was in action at the Battles of Messines, Ypres and Somme, being wounded on 28th May, 1917. He was promoted to corporal in February, 1918.
