John Berriman was the purser's steward on the Sirius which arrived in Sydney in January 1788 as part of the First Fleet. Berriman left the colony on the Sirius. Following the ship's wreck near Norfolk Island in March 1790 he returned to England on the Waakzaamheid in March 1791.
