Joshua Bentley (1787–1790)

Joshua Bentley is believed to be the son of Mary Morton and Joshua Bentley. He was born on 16 November 1787 aboard the Lady Penrhyn as it sailed to New South Wales. His mother was later recorded in the baptismal register as Mary Moulton and in the ship's log as Ann Moulton, which also said the child was a girl. No first fleet convict was named Mary Moulton but there was a Mary Morton.

Joshua died in the colony on 14 February 1790.
