Robert Bacon (1790–1792)

Robert Bacon, twin son of Jane Elizabeth and Samuel Bacon, was born on 3 June 1790 at Sydney. The family returned to England aboard the Gorgan on 13 December 1791; Robert died during the voyage on 24 April 1792 at Ascension Island. Robert Clark, who was on the ship, wrote that 'The children are dying very fast ... the hot weather is the cause of it'.
